How do I help as a writing mentor?

I help you to build your authentic writing voice, establish healthy creative habits, and set realistic deadlines you can actually stick to. I’ll guide you step by step through the writing, editing, cover design, and publishing processes so that you can decide what’s best for your book – all delivered with a huge dose of practical support and encouragement.

Do you only work with first time authors?

No! I work with authors at every stage – many of my clients are working on their second, third, and even fourth books.

Do you help with book marketing?

Yes, I can help guide you on using social media effectively, building an email list (and why it matters), creating a standout website, and developing a marketing strategy tailored to you. We can also cover interview techniques and public speaking. Many clients build their audience alongside writing their book, so they have readers eagerly waiting for launch day.

Do you offer developmental editing?

Yes! I offer a developmental editing service to help refine your character development, story structure, and writing voice. This is charged at £35 per 1,000 words.

I bring years of industry experience from traditional publishing, where I worked my way up to assistant to the head of marketing. I am also the author behind an imprint with ten published books of my own, and I was also accepted as an approved supplier by The Alliance of Independent Authors in 2024

What if I want your advice, but I’m not ready for one to one mentoring?

I offer fourteen audio masterclasses packed with practical action points to help you move forward. Prices range from £7 to £37.

How do I know if we’re a good fit?

We’ll start with a paid discovery call to discuss where you are with your project and where you’d like to be. I’ll explain how I can help and how I work. If we’re excited to collaborate, you’ll be invited to become one of the five clients I work with at any one time. And will be sent a mentoring agreement before we book our first session.

How do I book 1-2-1 mentoring sessions?

After your successful discovery call, you can book your sessions directly. Invoices are issued upon booking and must be paid by the due date to secure your slot. Once paid you’ll receive a TEAMS meeting link via email.

Can I book multiple sessions at once?

Yes, you can book sessions individually or in blocks of five or ten.

What is your cancellation policy?

All booked sessions are non-refundable. However, if you need to reschedule, you can change the date or time, as long as you give 48 hours. Each booking can only be changed once.
