How To Support A Small Business
People often ask how they can support each other’s businesses, especially when their friends or colleagues offer services or products they don’t need themselves – but never fear there are ways that you can be helpful.
And here is a fabulous list – thanks to Wise Heart Sam and Anita Rasheva for their input on this list.
1. Spread the Word
Share the person’s services with friends, family, and colleagues who might benefit from what they offer.
Leave reviews or testimonials after attending a session or using their products to help build trust with new clients.
Engage with social media posts—liking, commenting, and sharing increases their reach and visibility.
2. Attend and Participate
Book a session, attend workshop, go to events - showing up and engaging is one of the best ways to support someone’s work.
3. Collaborate and Connect
If you’re in a position to, invite them to work through your company or with your clients.
Partner with them on community projects, events, or workshops.
4. Provide Feedback
Share constructive feedback on what works well and what could be improved in their offerings to help refine, and grow their business.
6. Celebrate and Champion Their Mission
Recognise the importance of their work
Advocate for the value of what they offer in personal and professional settings, and point others toward their expertise.
You may not need a writers mentor yourself, but you can still buy, read and gift my books – there are eight to choose from!
