Writing prompt pictures for those working on the visual exercise in How To Write Without Block by Eden S Gruger. For all those who access their inspiration visually, here are some picture writing prompts, work through them one by one - sometimes it is a better idea to choose a picture that unsettles you, or that you do not like.

Not since the phenomenon that was The Curious Tale of the Dog in The Night Time by Mark Haddon has a book about autism grabbed me in quite the same way. Autistic author Eden Gruger reviews Can You See Me? by Libby Scott and Rebecca Westcott.

The Curry Question
Neil offered to cook me a romantic dinner, given that the last time someone cooked me a ‘romantic dinner’ they ended up in A & E I wasn’t as keen as you might think; anyway, he wanted to cook, so I said yes and hoped this time dinner wouldn’t involve a burns unit.

Desert Island Books
I was delighted to be a interviewee for Julie at A Little Book Problems Desert Island Books feature.
“My name is Julie, I’m 50 and I am a book addict. Seriously, it is a severe and untreatable problem, hence the name of my blog. However, since it is not a vice that is dangerous in any way other than to my bank balance, I’m not too worried”.
It’s time to strand another willing victim on my literary tropical island with five books of their choosing to keep them company until rescue arrives, plus one luxury item (which cannot be any kind of human or animal companion, or a rescue or escape device). Today’s castaway is author… Eden Gruger

EmWigsters Book Blog
It’s been a little while since I was in an Author Spotlight, and this one with Emily of EmWigstersBookshelf was a lot of fun. An avid reader, teacher and librarian (I’m so jealous!) she helps spread the joy of books and reading. Of course I took the opportunity to talk about my latest book Friends Like These, and something I haven’t done in any of my other books. “for this book I wanted to delve into how being neurodiverse affects connection, which is something I haven’t touched on in my earlier books”.

When Your Superpower Is Being Invisible
It was my absolute pleasure to write this article for Everyday Magazine, ‘When your superpower is being invisible: Lived Experience of Disability.
“This is in no way a bash the NHS, or the hardworking social worker’s piece, this is my lived experience of invisible disability, the services who are working to support me. And the ways that they don’t quite work in the way that the Social Care Institute of Excellence had in mind. An invisible disability is a life-altering condition that is not apparent just by looking at someone. Guess what? This covers 1 in 7 of the UK’s population – so we are everywhere, you just don’t know it, because our superpower is being invisible”.

The Write Stuff Interview
Sharon says “I have always been a bookworm and love nothing more than to curl up with a book but sadly gone are the days when I have the free time to read a book a day. My day job entails working in the technical department for an insurance company but when I’m not working or prepping blog posts you are likely to find me with a book very close to hand”.
Here she speaks to Eden Gruger
